Omicron Economy has been destroyed by the Era update

I've been playing the the new update with a strategy of "don't spend a crystal for a game mode that you don't enjoy." Because I shouldn't have to spend more resources for the game to function in a new and improved state, right? We were told that free to play players would still be able to access everything that we were receiving in the game. I've spent money on LSBs and the hyperdrive bundle when it was discounted, but I don't like to spend on anything else.

I have been obtained almost no episode currency and I'm now at level 17 on the track. This is the first time since the introduction of episode currency that I haven't been able to buy each of the omicron's from the shipments. And there is no sign in the game that I will be able to get enough points to get any omicrons form the next shipment.

Every day I log into this game I become more frustrated at how poorly this update was thought out, unless the thought was to push every player away from the game. If that was the idea, then it's going perfectly. Because I don't know how long I'll last if this is the way the game will be forever now.
