Why does the game design even allow a player to post ZERO in a raid attempt. What is the value? It seems like an intentionally predatory game design. The option to post should not be allowed (by design). This is truly evidence of CG doing everything in it's power to place nonsense landmines in the way of players. IMO
Hmmm idk about all that. I can think of at least one use for 0 postings. Remember the episode quest that requires you to submit two raid attempts? 0 postings count for that quest. Some people may not have the units up and running to even get any points for tier 0 of a raid. Remember to get any points at all you have to kill at least one enemy unit (for Order 66 at least) and many people haven’t geared up the niche units needed for it. So what they just can’t complete the quest unless they grind harder for the raid? What’s your proposed change?
Also I don’t see how any of this is predatory. Everyone has the option to either “Discard” the attempt or “Discard and Retry” the attempt, so it’s not like people are locked in to submitting 0’s. They have the freedom to try as many times as they would like. It’s not a “nonsense mine” if there are other options easily accessible on that very same “submit attempt” screen. CG has made a lot of questionable choices in the development of Swgoh, but if you ask me this isn’t one of them and it’s definitely not going to be something they change.
To suggest this is some sort of malice is quite a stretch. and all I see evidence of, is someone being upset at their butter fingers.
We could introduce some malice, remove the functionality, and require participants to score at least 1 point to submit and gain any rewards. Probably wouldn't placate OP though, as they would likely not be ok with allowing a score of 1 being submitted either.
Probably better to leave as is.
with the quest discarding counts yes you don't have to submit and raid attempt for the submit 2 raid attempts unless they have changed it recently
agree that submitting a 0 when that is all you can score so you get rewards is better than not
If you don't like that someone is posting a zero, then kick them out of your guild. If you're in a guild and not a leader, well, you can bring it up but it's not a concern for them, then not much you can do about it. Don't like it, start your own guild and make everyone post damage.
Oh yeah you’re totally correct I think about the episode quest. But you also bring up something I somehow didn’t even think of. The fact that submitting a 0 gets you raid rewards. So my point still stands just on a different foundation, players should still be allowed to get raid rewards even if they couldn’t kill something in the raid. With how particular the units have been in the newer raids, it’s not fair to expect that everyone has the requirements to score (especially when the raid contains new marquees that take an arm and a leg to gear up). And it’s not like it’s a huge problem anyway. LikeGabe9876543210 said, it looks to me like you just butter fingered the button and got mad.
