Permanent Ban - Definition

I'd like to know what a "permanent" ban is according to CG and what qualifies for a permanent ban.
I thought cheating was a cause for a perma ban but apparently one of the most prominent cheaters seems to be unbanned after several months (idk whether it's the "original" player of the account or he got it sold and it's now someone else playing on it). So if a "permanent" ban is maybe limited to 4,6,8,X months then Bulldog should be unbanned too (he is even longer banned), right?
Clarify please, CG.

  • Also, if you suspect someone is cheating:

Report A Potential Cheater: If you want to report a potential cheater, please send a message to @CG_LucifersDaddy with details on why you think someone is cheating and your ally code plus the ally code and name of the suspected cheater.
  • A few notes that we have picked up over time:

    - each case is evaluated on a case by case basis
    - permanent means permanent there is no limits to a permanent ban

    Personal side:
We had a cheater on our shard a while ago. Several reports were made, he was banned multiple time for increasing longer periods, until it hit a permanent threshold.

I dont believe there is a set recipe for how they deal with this.
