Why do you think Relic Deltas will fix match making? I know the reasoning is not really clear (as the real reason and the reason we're being told are probably not quite the same). However, Relic Deltas are........................hmmmm to fix roster integrity? In that, CG feels we should be investing as much in our rosters and taking them to the highest possible place we can.
Imagine this conversation took place:
SWGOH Padawan: I just came into a bit of money. I'm going to spend it on taking my whole roster to Relic 9.
SWGOH Jedi Master: Nah, don't bother mate. I took most of my roster to Relic 9 and it hasn't made much of a difference. My teams still get picked off by Relic 3-5 teams. Choose your Relic 9s carefully.
And this is what has concerned CG. Players aren't worried about high relics and to a degree, ignoring them to a large degree. CG created this issue, by not making high Relics that necessary in PvP, made high relics so hard to get and things like lowering the relic requirements for datacrons. Now, it's causing a financial issue.
Fixing match making or the effect it'll have on match making isn't even a consideration. For GAC, it will initially cause some upheaval as everybody finds their new place. However, when the dust settles, GP should be more relevant and those that punch up, will be punched down to a degree. As for TW, the environment is looking messier and messier. No larger example is your guild being matched vs a very very large big gun.
With Relic Deltas, bigger guns will be even more powerful. An individual GP difference will be more telling. TW will be harder for smaller, but more numerous accounts in TW. Hopefully, they'll do something positive about it. However, my feeling is once RDs drop, they're have a lot more on their plates.
