Pesky “Reward” Mods
I have played this game since 2016 and mostly enjoy it, even with the new, super greedy in-your-face paywalls, but there is one minor but frustrating detail I would like to see changed (don’t worry Disney, it’s not a price reduction):
Several events include mods, usually not particularly exciting, and often primarily Health mods. After many years of playing, I have a full bin of Mods and have to sell some to acquire any new ones. That part’s okay: if I could keep all the Mods I win, I’d probably have a couple of terabytes of them. Thing is, most of the time, the Mods I “win” aren’t as good as the ones I have in store, so I wind up just letting them hang around in my inbox until they expire, and sometimes I have to cull Mods to allow them in because you can’t collect the useful rewards without also taking onboard the less useful Mods.
i would prefer that we had either the option to decline the Mods or could sell any Mod in our inbox without taking it into the inventory first. Being able to sell or shed unwanted Mods would allow me to keep the inbox clear, get at least some value for my time out of receiving unuseful ‘rewards’, and generally improve game flow. Alternatively, simply shorten the amount of time unanswered Inbox items have before they go away.
Second thought:
Gameplay uses time, of course, but time is its own currency. If you put a battle event up but do not give so much as a single credit for winning it, unless there is some other purpose for playing it, I’m not going to undertake the event. There are a growing number of ‘Marquee’ events that offer rewards only for the first few times one plays it. If there’s a battle which offers neither challenge nor rewards, I’m not going to waste my time. Either offer minimal rewards (which is the case for the original events) or gray out the event once a certain number has of wins is reached. Please.
Two things will cause me to spend nothing in either time or money: an event that offers no reward for completion (time-coin) or an event paywalled behind an utterly absurd high cost. The former wastes my time and the latter wastes my money.
