Yes, I think there is room for something here.
But your math on available lines of chat vs content generated per Relic or other upgrade of some GL would only apply in those edge case scenarios where a hoarder/whale applies all of these upgrades in a row, at the same time.
That is genuinely into unicorn territory. I mean, come on, is there even that much storage capacity available for someone to make that kind of progression, uninterrupted, without $$$? If so, then yes, absolutely give them every line of text in the chat for a an hour or so until the next whale rolls them off the board:)
Many Guilds, like mine, are not so affected. It takes us some time between upgrades. And I would be delighted to let go of one line of chat to cheer for my friends achievement"Hexen_Jagar;c-2458729" wrote:"JimmyRumble;c-2458715" wrote:
@Hexen_Jagar yes. That.
It would blend in nicely with all of the gear tier notifications. Perhaps a separate color for those messages? Or if that’s too much for you, perhaps only the odd number relic upgrades? Or maybe just the prime number relic upgrades? I would welcome any or all of this.
Just think of a GL. You have the activation notification, G9-g13 and then if it was every relic level, that would be another 7-9. Plus the 6 zetas. In total that would be 18 - 20 notifications from one person. There is only 50 texts lines able to be displayed at one time. That would be 36-40% of it.
For me, R5, R7 and R9 would fine. I do think it is nice to see some recognition outside of R9.
Who unlocks a GL without having the gear/relic mats/zetas and a full set of mods ready and waiting for them? Planning costs nothing.
On the topic, I’d rather see r3/5/7/8/9, as those are usually the benchmarks needed for a GL/CS.
