I think most players feel your pain. Ships are notoriously slow to drop shards it seems. I think I've been hitting TIE Echelon at least once or twice daily even through double drops events for at least over 6 months now.. 36 shards away so in my mind going by usual luck similar to yours its going to be at least another month until done....yaaay! What a joyful experience huh?! 

Anywho, Good News for me is its just a completionism thing since the Finalizer fleet in my experience feels like utter trash, so I don't really use it much in PVP anger. So for you just keep plugging away.. it'll drop event for that dopamine hit then you can start all over on the next ship grind.    

The last couple shards is always hard feelings.  I can assure you the game is not rigged, CG is not singling you out of hundreds of thousands of players, nor is anyone sitting in a dark room looking at your game and lowering a shard drop lever to zero.  It’s the slot machine 33% payout per roll.  You rolled the dice x amount of times and each time missed the magic numbers.  You’ll get it.  Chin up and crack on.  

The 33% drop rate has been tracked by thousands of folks for the last 10 years.  Think of it like this, you roll a 10 sided die.  On a 1, 2, or 3 you get item X.  Each time you roll the dice you have a 33% chance of rolling a 1, 2 or 3, it’s not cumulative.  It’s 33% hard chance each roll. So when you hit sim, it said /roll 1-10, and you never hit 1, 2, or 3.  

I understand. As someone else said it’s frustrating. 

I went through about 500 energy to farm gear, at 8 energy per. = not a single 1 of the gear I was farming. 😂😅🥲😢

ive seen plenty of people say its not rigged or that the rates dont get lowered but ive been playing for years and i swear about 80-90% of the things ive farmed have had consistent drops DAILY up until the point that im about 20-30 shards away from being done, then ill go DAYS sometimes weeks with 0 drops.
Now If this only happened every now and then or if my drops up until that point weren't consistent then id agree its just RNG, but this feels like it happens way too often to be a coincidence or just bad luck

Trust me, it’s just feelings. People have tracked drop rates, they don’t change.
