Please Stop Overtuning Events

Shield Generator bug aside, the Jar Jar event is a joyless slog to do at R5. Tier 4 in particular has almost no strategy involved but requires you to slowly tickle Darth Maul to death over 10 minutes or so, which sucks all the fun out of the idea of "Duel of the Fates but Jar Jar". At first I thought it was a bug because his health didn't move at all for several attacks. It took me even longer to beat the final tier. Again, I was almost sure I was doing it wrong because the first DDK just would not die.

This is with all zetas and best available mods, which are the in-game recommendations for the event.

Compare to Jedi Knight Cal Kestis, which I did two weeks ago at G12 with no Zetas. As long as you use the event specials to cleanse purge when the stacks build up and use counterattack when appropriate, it's a fun speed run of the major events of Fallen Order with some light puzzle elements. I much prefer that sort of Journey Guide after putting in the effort to farm and gear my characters than Bombad General or Dark Times, which have those puzzle elements but drown them out with enemies tuned to R7 or higher characters.

It’s not only joyless. It steals any joy we might have had.

It shouldn’t take hours to do an event like this.

The cut scene for tier 4 was admittedly funny but considering I had to attempt that tier a dozen times, it got old really fast.

Tier 5 is just absurd. Wave 1 isn’t bad but wave 2 takes FOREVER and is ZERO fun.

  • They want it to be extra tough at R5 so that you'll expend resources and/or buy them to get your gungans to R7, R8, R9.  (Same as why the naboo raid has a Tier 7.  So you'll take all those units to R9.)

While I'm surprised that datacron requirements were reduced to R1, 3, and 5, that doesn't discount that CG keeps pressuring players to R9 their whole roster because even R7 is meaningless in some events.  (without even mentioning ROTE TB where R9s get wiped with one basic attack.)
