....While I have no issue beating up chaze builds I do have issue with the inconsistent "reworks" to diminsh characters. I hate the term OP and I hate nerf calls. The closest thing I've ever seen in this game to OP is Chaze, by a good bit. Wiggs was wicked, but 1 dimentional, thus not OP. Chaze does very good damage, taunts, counters, cleanmses, heals, heal over time, Tenacity up, removes buffs on opposition, assists, grants TM gain. The team literally has every ability possible except Stun, revive/resurrect, and TM removal. How can they not see how completely they outclass anything else?
Finally a post that makes sense.
There really is too much "reworking" in this game. It's annoying and has a serious potential to turn off spenders. No one wants anything changed after purchase. It's rarely to the positive, always negative.
I too detest the terms "OP" and "nerf" and "power creep" because the majority of the time it's just someone whining. The sum of their argument always equals "nerf them because I don't have them and don't know what to do".
IMO these newly "powerful" characters seem to be bringing in a new era to the game where toons have more abilities and it adds up to a more complex, sophisticated and FUN game. I imagine older toons will become more viable in the future with new synergies in the line of the new Bounty Hunter group.
Trust me I'm all for characters being more fun to play and having more than one ability and role to them. That makes it interesting and keeps the game moving. But when you have two characters who have 90% of the possible swgoh kit, then you could easily see that it's unbalanced. At some point it comes down to "why get a cleanser, attacker, healer, debuffer, tank and buff remover when these two guys do it about as good, if not better than anyone else?" No one character should have be the best in the category for so many different categories. Just look at palpatine, before him the best AoE stun was Jawa, and that was for one specific class (droids) now palpatine has an equal chance to stun anyone for not only 1, but sometimes 2 turns. Then he also has the best basic damage in the game, arguably the best single debuff going along with it, the ability to heal all his health in one turn, offense up to the whole team, and godly turn meter gain. At some point you have to tally everything he does and realize how much characters he puts into irrelevancy because they do one of the same things just not as well.
I'm not saying these characters are OP because in this forum if you say that no matter how much evidence you bring the response is "just learn to play". Despite that I will say that these characters are definitely not balanced and you'd have to be crazy to not see that
