Feel free to elaborate the parts of her kit and/or 8B's kit that makes 2S the better choice.

It would also be interesting to know your win rate with 8B.

Her first special is effectively an insta kill. She deals far more damage than 8th brother. She's the damage dealer on the team.

Still interested in your # of attempts with 2S and # of attempts with 8B + success rate with 8B so we can actually compare them. If you're going to say one is better citing a single ability that does good damage doesn't say anything about actual win rates, which is what people are going to care about long term.

I'm not willing to say that 8B is better because he can use an AoE to attack Jawas hidden under stealth, nor am I willing to say that 2S is better because her first special does a lot of damage.

What I'm interested in is comparing as many runs with 2S as possible vs. as many runs with 8B as possible and seeing what the data says -- then once we find an advantage or disadvantage, reverse engineering what those might be by watching runs of failed missions and trying to figure out where those missions went wrong. Sometimes it might be that there's an optimal strategy to recover from that situation and the failures are just that some people don't know it -- but if they did the toon with the lesser win rate would see their win rate climb just as high. But sometimes you can find something in the kit that explains what's going on and verify that the data is reflecting a weakness of one toon or an advantage of another toon that just can't be compensated for.

I would love it if you could add to that conversation, but I'm afraid I already knew that 2S has a heavy hitting attack.

So I ask again, what was your success rate with 8B? How did you actually compare the successes and failures, and did you have enough runs to make valid statistical conclusions? Or are you just impressed with big hits and never bothered to compare success rates before declaring one toon better than the other?

Bitdynasty did a new video for Reva yesterday and it worked for me. So hopefully that will help everyone's odds.

Thanks everyone for the data collection. It’ll be interesting to see long term if 2s is a viable alternative to 8b. Having r7 crew in the TIE Int would be a nice plus.

I imagine with all of the following in place:
- full platoons
- good modding (protection primaries, no health mods and correct turn order for 7s, 5b, GI)
- the correct opening strategy (no AoEs until using GI’s 2nd special on a Jawa with 6 stacks of Purge to gain tenacity up, then eliminating scavenger asap)

The difference between using 8b and 2s will be negligible.

Problem is that I only had 13 runs with 2S at the time, which is too few to make solid conclusions from.

While it's possible that as we get more runs we can calculate that 2S success approaches (or is indistinguishable from) *B success, but I suspect that if that's true, it will be only when you have all your Ops missions completed.

High end guilds are reporting success rates much higher than mid-range guilds (or me -- I have now streamed 67 runs with 3 fails while more than one guild hit 50/50 and one guild I know hit 49/50 but the loss was a blue stacks crash).

I think some people are quick to dismiss Ops missions and mods as factors, because in the easier half of runs they don't actually matter. But when I had 4 stuns, my mods absolutely mattered -- as did my guild's perfect Ops missions.

How many of those more dangerous runs with fewer Ops missions will a less well modded squad be able to overcome? Obviously we're all still learning this mission and maybe I could have an even better win rate than 64/67 in the future, but as long as I working with all comers, I think it's unlikely to get too much better than that, and when runs go nasty, I would rather have 8B than 2S.

She creates new concerns, for sure. If your player isn't ready to handle those concerns on their own AND they're not willing to stream, I doubt you'll have good results.
