Hi, y'all! I just broke 4 million GP today just in time for the Proving Grounds tomorrow. What should I be expecting? And who should I go for? For those of y'all with more experience, I would love some advice!

i would say go for gl leia.i three starred all the proving grounds with her even without the ult when i unlocked her.you could also try great mothers

Without wishing to come across as "Look at me! My underpants are golden!!" I have no idea about Proving Grounds. However, getting the Many Mums team and the GL Leia team sound very sound, to me.However, I do have experience with the Conquest characters and these are my thoughts! The higher the number the higher the priority for me.Razor Crest. It's needed for the third meta fleet. It's also an unlock requirement for the Exec. 78/100CAT. When you knock CAT out in a JMK mirror match, it becomes easy. She makes JMK so much better. You can use her elsewhere (JMK being difficult to unlock now due to Wat). Having that insta-kill is very useful. Also GLAT unlock. 80/100Maul. I'm a massive Maul fan, more so than his probable worth. You can use him on his own team or an UFU team. 81/100Boba Fett Sion of Jango. Was extremely poor, not bad in TW. The newer BH have made him much better. He's also a requirement for the new Mando GL. As a character though, still not fantastic. 60/100Tie interceptor. Definitely makes the Empire fleet. Empire are pretty useless without it. However, it's not meta. Not needed for any unlocks but often needed in RotE. 50/100Darth Malgus. The Sith Empire team is very useful. You'll often use it even at the highest level. It's not a meta team though. He's needed for the Leviathan though and that is THE SHIP. 87/100Ben Solo. Ben has only 1 use and that is with Rey. Rey though (with Ben) is aging very well. It will always find a datacron to hurt you and stay relevant. 75/100Scythe. It's needed in RotE, but not that needed. The Inquisitors is a very long winded farm. Makes Tarkin's fleet a lot better but a lot of work for what it is. 47/100Admiral Trench. If you have him, he can be useful, especially in TW. I dislike the Seppie characters he takes though. I personally have done nothing with him. 20/100 Fury Class Interceptor. A leviathan ship, this is the meta. 86/100Malicos. I'm quite a big fan of Malicos. He's not that good outside of GAC though and is stuck to 1 team, which is bad for an UFU. 74/100Dark Trooper Moff Gideon. Not needed for an unlock, but might be in the last set for GL Mando. The team is...OK, it has its uses, but nowhere near meta. 58/100Darth Bane. Most definitely the pick of the bunch for being the most useful out of the box. You don't need anything else (other than a Sith) for him to work. He literally is a meta team. It does feel though, that his absolute power isn't as bright as it was a year ago. 92/100 Queen Amidala. This team is doing very well. With the right datacron, padawan kenobi does immense damage. You also need the poncho bros for a good resource event. 84/100Luthen Rael. Luthen feels like he'll stay useful. Any meta rebel fighter that comes along, he'll make the team better. 73/100Ezra Bridger. One of the scariest characters in the game. He's been nerfed so that he only works well on a spectre team. He probably still works OK on other teams. However with GLAT, he's an absolute monster. 87/100DS Rey. For me, SLKR is the sharpest tool in my offensive box. DS Rey makes him even better and he's not a hard unlock. 86/100Jocasta Nu. With the raid about to change, she's moving down the pecking order. In PvP Jedi Vanguard are also not that meta. She feels a luxury now that isn't that hard to deal with. 45/100SM33. SMEE isn't a character that I've invested that heavily in. However, I do wish he was a bit better. If I could have spent an LST on him, I would have. The raid is going away, and his stock is falling. However, that Maz team is very useful and has its niche. 59/100Maz Kanata. It's a team I don't have at very high relics and it still can do work. I'm always debating whether to work on her a bit more. She feels like a character that will always find a niche to stay relevant. Though she's losing her raid. 64/100 The Stranger. His team is an absolute nightmare. It's not quite as scary as when it first come on the scene, but still a much have. 86/100Satele Shan. If you Satele is bigger than the Stranger, she's the counter. She can counter other things too. A great offensive tool. 85/100 Cobb Vanth is new and unlike the general power creep isn't meta. He is useful though. He saved me in the last GAC round agianst a pre-loaded team. He's useful, but not as useful as he could have been. 59/100Jedi Training Leia. I'm not a fan of JML, of all the GLs I find him the most frustrating. Leia does lift him considerably though. He's equally useful in GAC, TW, Conquest and TB. I bet though, I'm not finding this pair as fantastic as some swgoh-layers. 85/100These are my thoughts on how high a priority (if everything is on the table) I find the characters. There's a lot of personal opinion here (loving Maul/hating JML for example) though.

Almost all of the PG battles are abnormally difficult. I would advise looking at guides for whatever battles you’re attempting, otherwise you’re in for a rude awakening. BitDynasty has some on his site swgoh4.life and there are plenty of others out there. Scrybe is a good one, Ahnald and Xaereth also. Good luck!

Unfortunately, early on in the game, I turned my nose upward at the Phoenix Team. Because there were the free Lightspeed Tokens in the Era of Anniversary, all new players were using them... and I didn't want to be like them. I am regretting that choice now, but I at least got the Lightspeed Tokens... so all I need to do is upgrade their Relic levels. Phoenix is a good idea... Lord willing, I will have them at Relic 5 next time around.

Phoenix with Captain Rex also puts the ouch on inquisitors. Sabine gets a TM train rolling between her and Rex and it becomes a blood bath

It saves me time to just be able to Sim a battle. I also enjoy trying to 100% games... so getting all the shiny stars is, of course, a goal. However, you are right, it doesn't matter to much right now... I will have much better units to get the stars later.

I did find Thrawn was my best Leader for the Inquisitiors... I just struggled at who to pair him with. I upgraded Emperor Palpatine and Mara Jade to Relic 5, both with zetas. I tried my Darth Vader (Duel's End) as well... and he was the only one who survived past the first couple of attacks. However, even he died. I will try out the Royal Gaurd next time... and get Piett. I have had him recommended multiple times. Also, I have a weird question... how do you stun the enemies!? I know how to stun normal enemies, but NO ONE was getting stunned in the Proving Grounds. Neither Emperor Palpatine's second special nor Mara Jade's second special were able to stun any enemies... but perhaps I was making a mistake. I don't know.

Is there any point though? I guess if you have the time now and may not in the future, but otherwise you're best just 1 or 2 staring it. In the future, you'll probably be better equipped to get the 3 stars more efficiently, and the rewards are the same.

For TIE Interceptor, use Thrawn-lead Empire - preferably characters like Mara, Palpatine, Piett, and a Tank like Royal Guard. He's crucial for clearing off the DOTs while the rest crowd control the Inquisitors. Fracture Reva, spread Shocks and Stuns around, then hard focus GI and work your way around, leaving Reva for last.

For the ones I got 1 or 2 Stars in, I forgot I could quit the battle and restart... so those will be 3 Stars next time, Lord willing. For the 3 I got 0 Stars in, I tried every team I could... and just couldn't win. I just used Era Currency to purchase a Lightspeed Token that is a prerequisite for the Galactic Legend Leia Journey Guide Quest... so y'all should at least hear that I am taking your advice. OP: Conquest characters are perfectly accessible F2P, even without getting the red box in conquest. You don't need the conquest pass. You just need to apply a bit of skill (Whatelse73 is unfamiliar with that concept). As for PG, there's the Trello board thing which lists multiple options for beating each node. Great Mothers clear most PG nodes and it's a team of only marquees which are all accelerated farms.
