Proving Grounds: Ben Swolo
Hey everyone,
I got an early crack at PG due to the + Pass, and wanted to go ahead and share what I learned on the Ben Swolo mission.
First, it definitely felt a little easier, to me, than the previous ones. I think a wider range of teams will be able to complete this one.
My first attempt was 501st, which I tried twice and failed both times, but I think that higher relics than mine (R5 GAS and R3 Clones), would be able to do it fairly easily. Probably around R7/8, and decent speed.
It seems like Ben doesn't have his full omicrons turned on: wasn't able to kill Rey with his present, but he didn't revive. So that's nice.
The main difficulty, is the event modifier. You gain 1 stack of "Unstable Energy" (or w/e it's called) when gaining a buff, and lose 3 at the end of your turn. Hitting 0 or 30 stacks, will incur 85 % max health AND 100% max protection damage on that character. The nice thing is that this can work against the enemy squad as well, so as long as you can survive and stay within those parameters, a lot of the enemy units will just blow themselves up.
They also can gain a lot of TM, so shock or daze to slow them down is helpful.
I played around with some SK comps next, but that didn't really go anywhere. I ended up just using SEE with Malak, Malgus, Sion, and Shorty, and got the job done. Only one star of course because it's SEE but it wasn't bad.
I thought Jedi might work well to pass around a lot of buffs and manage the event buff, but I didn't test that. Maybe I will on this next go round.
