RC battle is not grayed out, I have a seven star. CAT is grayed though (also 7 stars)

As I understand this is an old bug that has already been fixed. So why does fixed bugs pop up again?
My long-standing theory is that they have a terrible branching strategy. With the Title Update they merged in old code that still had the bug because they never bothered to RI the fix to that branch.
