There's no GP requirement for Normal Conquest, you just have to beat Easy. I've been doing it since ~1M. I think originally you got grandfathered into Normal if you were at 2M+ when they created the Easy tier but the only requirement now is 4M GP (and beat Normal) for Hard.

So, let's just require beating Conquest on Normal to access Proving Grounds. Still more restrictive than they originally told us, but much more palatable than 4M GP...

Yeah, I agree with this. I was looking forward to PG to unlock CAT. But this GP requirement might just be the final straw for me. Now I'm thinking about quitting the game all together.

Whatever happened to bridging the gap between new players and veterans?

The only consistency I've really seen from CG is a non stop barrage of lies.

So I have full access to GLs from the very start of the game (and I got my first at 2 milion GP) but I'm arbitrarily unable access characters that are supposed to be a level below GLs. Great. Fantastic. Gear crunch phase 2 delayed another 3 months.

The event isn’t live for another 5 days, just an FYI. Do I think they should’ve made it clear 4M GP was required? Yes. But I don’t agree on one thing.

Conquest characters are rewarded to people that have deeper rosters that are able to fully clear all the zones and fulfill enough feat reqs to unlock the reward character. There’s no problem with a 4M GP gate on that.

4 million GP is fine

@ShaggyB Ah yes, it is totally reasonable that a new player is able to obtain probably 3 GL's before they are able to obtain any conquest character.

It would still take a new player a MINMUM of 2 years to obtain CAT f2p without the 4M GP requirement: let's say they hyper focus and take 7 months to get an R3 team to complete event. Then they have to wait another 17 months to obtain the conquest character (assuming it's been out for an entire year already).

This event really could have been much better communicated. There's been no mention of a 4 million GP requirement. It's tough to get excited about new content only to learn that due to poor communication you can't participate in this event.

Things like this makes me much more hesitant to spend money on the game to support further behavior like this.
