This is pretty much my issue!
There seems to be a problem when the payment gets disrupted for any reason and the game thinks the player has received the gift.
I have been trying repeatedly for the last couple of hours with no luck. I am on Android.
I've been having this problem for about a day now. still haven't found a solution
