PSA: No Hero or Faction Is Supposed to be Meta-proof Forever. WAI
Just a reminder that since the beginning of the game, there has never been nor will (or should) there ever be a single toon or faction that is meta-proof. Droids were close, as they have been viable in top level arena almost since launch.
People should simply accept that fact, widen their roster instead of begging for nerfs (or buffs to "their team") as their current arena team weakens in the meta.
Many players who have been playing since launch have been through the Poe era (w/Droids, btw), the Dodge era (with Dooku/OB leads) the Rey/RG era, etc., etc., and every time, have had to add to rosters and change arena teams. That is "working as intended." Even now, EP lead teams are being replaced by Zader and Zaul.
In the past few weeks I have read "Buff droids - they can't keep up anymore" and even a "buff Wiggs" thread today. If your Droid, Rebel, Empire, Jedi team ain't cutting it in arena anymore, change it - try something else. Diversity is good - changing your arena team is fun. Why would you want to run the same stale 5 heroes you've been running for the last 3 months anyway?
Heck, I just Zeta'd Maul - and I have absolutely no delusions that in May I'll still be running a Maul lead team in arena. He'll probably be on my bench by the summer.
Embrace the changing meta - because it always will be moving.
The only constant is change.
