I went ahead and tracked my materials before and after the auto breakdown and I have a few questions to hopefully understand the process better and be able to plan for the future. @CG_Tusken_Meathead if you have time in the coming days, would you be able to find the answers to these?
I have a table below which walks through what I had and what I received. I had a three upgraded datacrons from Set #1 (L9, L4, and L2). If I would manually break those down, I would receive the amounts listed in the first data column (2.8M currency, 343 Mk1, 150 Mk2, and 20 Mk3 upgrade materials) - note I did NOT manually breakdown these. The second column outlines how much leftover/unused materials I had for set #1.
As shown in the third column, the number of materials I received was exactly as planned however, the comment from Meathead in discord, as shown above by Ultra and quoted below, says that the unused materials would also be converted at some rate. I am not sure about this part.
Questions #1 - Was the unused materials (4 Mk1, 9 Mk2, and 20 Mk3 upgrade materials) converted into the 130K extra currency which I received (2.93M instead of 2.8M)? If not, where did that extra amount of currency come from? Or if there is a conversion of Mk1 upgrade from set 1 to set 4, was the number of materials I had too small they just got rounded down to zero?
Questions #2 - What is the conversion for reroll materials? I really don't understand how I got a small amount of Mk1, a ton of Mk2 and lost all my Mk3 reroll mats in the conversion. Is this only based on what you have extra (or not at all)? Does the amount of times you reroll your datacron determine the amounts of next set reroll mats you get (i.e. because I rerolled my L9 x amount of times I was at that specific amount)?
Questions #3 - With the change in cadence from 1 month to 2 months of acquire, the end of set #2 will not coincide with the start of a new set (i.e. Set #2 ends on 10/5 but Set #5 won't start until ~10/31). Therefore, what will Set #2 breakdown into - more Set #4 (Security Primer) materials or the unannounced Set #5 mats? Same question for Set #3 - will that break down into Set #5 mats. Graphic above hopefully helps to illustrate this.
Thanks for any input you can provide!
