The biggest thing players did to screw themselves was to open their wallets and spend money before they saw anything. So far, I haven't spent a cent on this title and that is because I could see clearly from Day 1 back in November when I began playing that EA/CG were full of it and were touting a beta as a full version game, even having the nerve to deny it when the version is 0.3.XXXXXX which is a beta version numbering scheme.
I don't spend money when people try to play dumb with me and if everyone did as I did from Day 1, EA/CG would have had to have stopped the games pretty early and come correct with some real content and an appearance of "caring" about the player base or fold up their tent and chalk this up as a loss and move on with their tail between their legs.
We all need to have some composure, close your damn wallet for God's sake unless the purchase benefits you greatly. At this point, I would have been slamming the iTunes Store/Google Play Store with endless negative one-star reviews to help tank this at this point for over a month, along with a closed wallet. Act like you are not playing, empty anger followed by purchases do not get Devs off their backsides.
Many have fallen on their swords already and have no defense since they've spent money already and have been used to pad the EA/CG coffers so it's too late for you to stand up. Your wallet is your power, start using it, sheesh......
U put it well. If u dont like it, be f2p. I am... Im waiting for a time when i feel the prices represent a fair value of digital content. At the same time, i wish people didnt whine... And by whine i dont mean ur post or posts with real suggestions... In sure even you guys hear the whiners and its just annoying
