I am completely baffled by the lack of any communication, even meaningless communication. You know your community is up in arms over the last week and not even an empty "We are looking at these issues...

A dev (I think notrealyajedi?) stated that even in play testing the testers had a jarring experience at first. But no one warned the player base, even though it was a known issue. So yeah, people freaked out. But EA KNEW it was coming and did nothing to prevent it. Then compounded it by making a series of even worse decisions.
This is because they either don't have a playtesting team or don't have an adequate one. It's clear why so many updates they release are broken on arrival and require multiple fixes hours after release.
