Based on what I’ve seen, the average gear drop for Rancor was around 70 pieces.
Mk7s are purchasable with Guild Currency at 10 for 150 (takes about two days to get that much). That’s worth 500 pieces of the Chromium drops, which is a lot of what the HAAT drops for gear.
If Chromium salvage mats were worth much, the calculations would be a lot closer to yours, but they’re worth pennies on the dollar in the game economy, and comparing them to Carbantis or directly converting them to Mk1 is going to drastically over inflate the value of the old system.

Many of the gear pieces are not needed by most characters and are salvaged for Chromium’s, which are a very nominal value since just getting the Mk7 Blastech Weapon piece is so much more efficient than any other piece, and makes Chromuim the easiest piece to get be a significant margin. Counting them the same as a Carbanti is leading you to overvalue the gear drops you’ve already oversampled.
I didn't see Mk7 Blastech Weapon in sim crates or HSTR top 11-16 drop.
