So thanks for the input everyone, but as it turns out, I was able to complete my first solo of the whole thing with JTR/Rey/R2/BB8/CLS. I did have to use R2's smokescreen twice to clear deathmark, and the rancor got a few turns in here and there, but with CLS' and JTRs tm removal and all the tm gain from JTRs lead, it was smooth sailing. :)
