I seem to remember something similar happened to somebody a few months back, but I can't find it. I was absent mindedly opening Bronzium data cards in the store just after Conquest had finished. Wh...
They max out your conquest energy after it's over for the next one. Whenever energy shows in a bronzium pack, that's usually your client re-syncing. So you had 7 energy left over when Conquest ended, and now your are at 144 for next time.
