For me to get my raid rewards I usually have to open the app, go the guild menu, leave, kill the app, repeat the previous steps, and I usually get my raid rewards on my 3rd attempt. Who's to say it didn't look like a bug and they didn't realize it right away until it was too late? I think EA needs to accept part of the responsibility for that mistake and not push it off 100% on the player.
The paycheck example is not even relevant. You know what your paycheck looks like no questions asked, this game can by buggy at times and you don't always know what's-what.
maybe if they claimed the rewards 2 or 3 times you could say they didnt realize until it was too late, but if you are sitting there claiming the rewards a hundred times I think its pretty obvious you are cheating the system and should expect reprecussions
