But yes, even if someone were to imply malice, there's a difference between saying, "I think there was malice" and "I know that there wasn't malice".
The difference is the difference between asserting an opinion and asserting a fact. DarkHelmet simply said that it wasn't proven that it was a mistake:
There's no proof it was a screw up.
If you want that to be laughable, you have to have proof it WAS a "screw up". Do you have that proof? If not, then DarkHelmet's statement is simply true and it's weird to criticize DarkHelmet for making it.
I'm laughing at what he's implying, not at his statement that there's no proof. I agree that there's no proof beyond statements made by ea/cg, that's not the laughable par.
