Reconciliation plan

This may have been covered elsewhere, but my frustration is with the discrepancy. In the past makegoods have been even. I've only been playing a few years, but this is the first time (to my knowledge) they've been this blatant about favoring the big spenders. Why not just give the crystals and shard currency to all? Those without 7* malak were arguably inconvenience more than anyone else, why do they get less?

Me, I was excited to get Malak finally after grinding my way to the requirements. I'm cool with others having him much sooner based on spending money or having played longer, that's only fair. All good. But to only get 250 crystals for the frustration and letdown of spending months to make it to this moment only to have the rug yanked from under me is really frustrating.
