Recovering LOST Guest Account on iOS (may work for Android too)
Short version: I lost my account from Nov 2016... never merged to Game Center... I thought all hope was lost.
FOLLOW THESE AMAZINGLY SIMPLE STEPS:
1. Close your game.
2. Log out of your Game Center (chances are you've attached a new game on your GC account, so you need to log out).
3. Create a NEW game center account.
4. Log out of that!
5. Open the game. (Now at this point, you should be prompted to log into GC. I did not... I skipped through that to make sure I didn't mess anything more up)
6. Your (old) game on the original Guest Account should pop up.
So I was completely relieved. I immediately bonded the game to my newly created Game Center account, so this will never happen again.
