Stripping down toons

Plenty of people have used the materials on other toons because they don't have GLAT

Well, that's not true, many might.  If you have a spectre team, then sure.  If you only put him on a Rey team, players do need that choice.

+1  I too would much rather have been given the choice.  Rather than having to check SWGOH.gg to see what I had before.  Wondering if I 'really' had been refunded everything %100.  Wasting my time on something that was totally unnecessary.

I doubt they changed stuff to annoy people.  However, other than the Phalanx change.....I also wonder how popular these changes have been.  They're quite happy to allow new characters to be outrageously OP, but quick to nerf something that isn't bringing in much money anymore.

I really hope this is a 1-off thing.  If it becomes a regular 'balancing' affair......it'll get old very, very quickly.

I absolutely used them on other units. I don't have GLAT or any appreciable Spectre investment. So they might as well have stripped him to gear 1 for me and given me the gold materials to use. Because they nerfed Ezra instead of Rey, it means I can't even use him for JMK, JML, or Stranger.

Likewise, I was only using Merrin anymore to take out Jabba's adds for a two shot sometimes, since relic delta had already shut down that full counter for me. There are some other non GL teams where she might still be useful if I've used everything else and am getting desperate. But if I feel like that's going to be a common enough occurance, I can always reinvest. I'd rather get the jump start on other things I'm working on since I won't be using either of these characters now.
