We were told that when they get around to implementing Relic Delta in Conquest that Sector 1 enemies would remain r4, Sector 2 enemies would remain r5, and all other enemies in s3-5 would be reduced to r5. They would replace the stats that they normally gained from relics with a new flat bonus exactly equal to what those enemies lost by reducing their relics.

Therefore, if you're using r5 toons, s1 just became a touch easier and every other sector stayed exactly the same.

If you're using r6+ toons, every sector became easier. If you're using r3 toons, every sector became harder, though only a bit.

They are not retuning to r8/r9 player toons. They are tuning to r5 player toons to keep the experience approximately the same (from r3 - r7 the Relic Delta will be minimal or non-existent). 

Your imagination doesn't trump what they announced. 

In the meantime, they also introduced disks meant to make our lives easier in Conquest in various ways. There's a new disk that makes every one of your toons immune to damage until you take a turn.

Load up on Zealous Ambition, take in a squad of Support toons -- or just one or two really good support toons at high relics and who have AoEs like Admiral Raddus or Dash Rendar -- and as long as your new, fragile toon is slower than your killing toons, then you can add the new "First Turn Immunity" disk and the toon that has to survive never takes a turn and never becomes subject to damage. 

This works great with Imp Troopers who are mostly supports and have a TM train. Use First Turn Immunity to guarantee you have a chance to go, then overwhelm them with 4 Imp Trooper supports who gain infinite TM while your 5th toon sits there, immortal. But if you have Profundity, you also have r9 Raddus, and his AoE with Zealous Ambition can one-shot entire squads. 

You can also use First Turn Immunity with Jedi Knight Luke, 3 support/healer Jedi, and whatever toon needs to survive. The first Jedi calls a mass assist and boosts JKR to 100% TM, then JKR reduces enemy speed to pitiful levels and stuns them all. 

If you can't win the battle starting from the enemy down it's leader or tank after all the ZA-powered Jedi doing a mass assist + all the surviving enemies stunned and their speed reduced to 120, then you just have no business playing this game. 

Don't panic. Think it through. Ask experienced players for help if you need. We'll all get through this just fine. 

Even if CG decides to include too many feats that require brand new toons for you to do, you can still take Gold Crate and have the new toon done in 4-6 months instead of 3.
