Less "NEW" Characters - Add and Update Content

Era's, has mostly been a complete disaster. This anniversary update, some of which was good, has been massively overshadowed by how terrible and boringly repetitive Coliseum is and the level of greed shown when whaling to (almost) max a character.  

To keep the player base, we NEED content. Not character releases. Yes I know which one brings in money, but when new content comes to the game and it is fun and enjoyable. Players are more willing to spend, even its a player who almost never spends, might start because they are finally having a good time. 

Territory Wars - Needs a massive update. Half a decade or more now with zero changes. Guilds either GO GO GO and try to win all of them. Guilds join just to lose and move on. Other Guilds have a Lose / Win plan. Territory War needs the GAC treatment. Start ranking Guilds by Ranks and then Points within the Ranks. 4-guild Tournament that leads to Winners and Losers Brackets. Update the rewards Drastically, and to encourage participation - daily rewards. Give the Guild leaders ability to Pre-Plan defense layouts. Guild leaders can put in suggested line-ups for each zone and then when a player goes to place a defense, the suggestions shows up and allows a click and fill option. Then the only thing the player has to manually do is add Datacron and "Place Defense." Additional possibility, allow the Guild leader entire power and force set teams for ALL guild members. 

Territory Battles - ROTE is decent. But the time sink is a bit much. I stick to my suggestion in the past, bring back starring each battle. Then if a node is 3-starred, give the option to auto-fill simmable team. If you manage to 3-star a node with multiple teams, allow a team to be chosen and then simmed. That would deploy the characters and auto complete the battle. Special nodes can be varied depending on if they reward points or currency rewards.  

Raids - PLEASE for the Love of all deities, let them rotate. Revive the original raids. Bring by that feeling of completing a phase and mid-battle cut-scene to start the next phase. Order 66 is a massive step up from Naboo, but being stuck doing the same-old thing each and every raid is numbing. 

CG, you have the players, you have the IP. It is on your shoulders how much longer this game survives.

  • They’re not interested in feeeback.  They’re going to ram that car at 100 mph into a wall no matter what we say.  Some magic bean counter has them convinced they’re on trajectory to be around for 20 more years.

    There is so much more CG can improve:

    Test area inside the guilds, 5v5 and 3v3

    market place inside the guilds, not only spending useless gear mats

    it is much easier to collect zetas than omikrons - balance this

    But CG has no interest on this, because it brings no money …

  • Regardless of the negative comments. Stating our opinions allows other players to know their opinions are also shared by others. While also showing CG a possible collective mindset.  Constantly berating and being hateful does not help anything. 
    Plain and simple Logic - Happy players spend more or start spending when they normally wouldn't. 

  • A lot to unpack there. Not a huge fan of Eras and Colisium but as an end game player (mostly f2p) we need a constant flow of new characters so those who spend to keep if f2p have an incentive to continue spending.

    At the end of the day if you are early to mid game then just take the free shards and put them on the back burner as really chasing after new shiny stuff isn't for you just yet (you'll get there).

    100% agree about TW, our Guild just doesn't bother as the rewards are rubbish for the effort needed when 600m+ guilds go against each other.

    As for Raid- just no, this is the same thing as needing new toons, there has to be an incentive for players to rush new content. For the rest you can do the legacy raids but it is absolutely fine that the highest raid rewards go to those who make the most effort or spend the most.

    As for the game surviving- get real, its not about the game struggling- its because you want the most stuff without either being A) Patient B) Spending.

    I actually thought it was humorous and a well thought out joke.  The CG Bean counter believes he has magical beans that will lead to riches but in reality he’s driving the player base away.
