Remember Grand Master Jedi Yoda GOH?
Let's review arguably perhaps the greatest Jedi to ever live(since he was nerfed as much as 4K). Why was he made so strong in the 1st place? A mistake? An oversight? Neither. He was that powerful because he was absolutely supposed to be that way. Here's why...
1) He's almost 900 years old & stronger & wiser in the force than any other living Jedi. As such he'd have more experience & knowledge to draw from than even most droids.
2) His species is unknown & since its alien who's to say what is normal for them but him.
3) He is the absolute greatest swordsman living. He TRAINED Count Dooku. How can the Count be such a fantastic combatent & his teacher not be greater? Dooku lost to Yoda in Episode II: Attack of the Clones. Need I say more?
4) His small stature & extreme force manueverability honestly would make him nearly impossible to hit. This was also seen in his fight with Count Dooku. Only Sidious could keep up.
5) Yoda is more in tune with the force than any other living Jedi & perhap even Sith save Sidious. How can he be any less than ANYONE else? He honestly shouldnt be.
6) He is the LEADER of the Jedi Order & Head Council Member. He was never meant to be just some random Jedi Knight serving the Order. He made policy & was respected as the best ever.
Bottom line: His nerfs were too harsh. I realize this is a holotable recreation of the lore of Star Wars & not meant to "exactly" reflect its respective characters. But if SW: GOH is to justify Count Dooku as tough & skilled as he is then shouldn't his superior be... Superior? Yes. That's Star Wars. That's the story. That's who his character is. Period. That's who Yoda is. If he isn't like he should be then it isn't Yoda at all & shouldn't bear his name.
As a realist, I accept that maybe lesser nerfs of some degree might have been justified. I had a devil of a time earning him with my Jedi team. But as annoyed as I was I never felt he was OP. But I do believe he was nerfed FAR TOO MUCH. He now is the strength of no better than a support Jedi. THE LEADER OF THE JEDI ORDER?? Please adjust him & give him his due glory back to some degree at least. Please. It is an injustice to him, us fans & even the spirit of Star Wars for him not to be just right. Help us... You are our only hope.
