Replaying special mission

I got a question if anyone tried/experienced this.
Lets say you for some reason, dont get a single star on the area with the special mission that gives Wat Tambor shards, can we then redo the special mission ?

If you attenpted the mission on day 3 you cannot attempt it on day 4.

No. You can replay the normal combat missions but not the special missions.
