Thank god finally. His usage is dropping on GG. Looks like Thrawn and the empire are staring to gain traction.

Are you talking about the meta report? Thrawn is only in 1% of #1 teams right now. I think his usage will grow as he's a strong individual character but I don't think his leader ability is particularly great so he won't elevate Empire enough to have a big effect on the meta. Rex's usage is stagnant because the Chaze growth seems to be causing a net raise in Wedge leadership. I would say it would depend on when Fulcrum becomes available through other means. Once people start getting her to 7* I think you might see a variety of teams built around her

The number of total characters used is greater than the number of teams the list is based on x5, I'm guessing because some players rank #1 with more than one team. But anyways the percentaes for each character often go up or down a point or two each day, longer term trends are more significant. And I predict that Baze/Chirrut will continue their slow upward climb until they are nerfed either directly or indirectly (by new gear, a new power creep character, a new Zeta, etc.).

It's a good squad. The main difference is my DT is about 40 speed faster.

I maintain that he's still very strong, and even if he did use Fracture 'correctly' on defense, he wouldn't be the new "Defense team" that's immovable. Even he can stop the balance that IS happening in Arena. There's more of a rock paper scissors going on than there ever was (and here I just started a debate but you know what I mean).

There is a whale on my shard that relies on his current AI. It's Thrawn DT DN GK and ShT. You need to mod DT to be your lowest health toon. His Thrawn is 274 speed and goes 1st. If he takes a debuff from dn he will use his cleanse right away and swap TM with DT. So DT goes 1st with his grenade then Thrawn fracture and DN hits cooldowns again. ShT and gk pass taunts back and forth. So it's a night mare if you have zDN and can't get over 274 speed.

I haven't tested zader lead yet. I've been pretty happy with Tarkin. Lowest I've been the past 3 days is 6th. ShT is a step back but still pretty good. What gk just does himself ShT will give TM to do. But he can't quite replace the cleanse group hug and foresight. Probably serviceable though.

Take note of this though when evaluating usage in terms of something being OP or not - there's an apathy / inertia / lazy (pick your word) aspect to it as well. Plenty of other leads work very well in arena - but all the sheep just camp on Rex. Pitiful. Sad! Confefe!

Yeah the difference is that he used to be the best and most used. Now he is just the most used because everybody has him and he is 1 of the best. I still love my Tarkin lead though. DT is up to 280 speed.

Pretty much everyone trying empire on my shard has now reverted back to rex ... so i'd say it is more that he is better and more reliable that means he is back than laziness or inertia
