The multi-counter was unintended to begin with, an unfortunate result of Counter Attacks being determined per damage effect, rather than per attack. Thankfully, there's an override for that, so only the first hit can trigger Counter Attacks now. Considering that you still only need to succeed a single Evasion check to avoid all the hits, it only seemed fair that you only got one Counter, too.
First, thanks for posting on the forums, appreciate having devs here.
I think we can all agree that this makes sense from a logical standpoint. The problem is that it further tilts the power balance towards characters like Rey that are extremely powerful and widely used, and away from counter-attackers, which aren't.
There are a zillion things that need to be addressed in the game. Was this really a priority, especially given Rey's status in the meta?
I guess the real question is: when, oh when, will the "speed+DPS is all that matters" design be modified so there is more variety in viable builds? People would care less about this if they weren't basically forced to one-shot her before she one-shots all your own guys. The one-shotting is the problem.
