I bought the Bo Katan LSB throught the webstore for 39.99. I got characters at relic 7. That evening same the LSB was available in game, but relic 8. same price. I went into the EA help to report. Got no help. But now on the store you get reluc 8. feel like I got taken.
This is one of those "Surprise mechanics" that EA talks about legally. You buy one and get a second one for the same price!
Most packs that they offer aren't benefiting players, they benefit CG. When you look at packs, realize that it's probably garbage and read it carefully.
In this case, you're looking at "stage 1" pack and if you buy that one, you get a stage 2 pack. They've done that before with a few packs. You've got them R7, so you should be able to pull off the event if you mod right and watch some videos. (Like was posted above)
Maybe if the R8 pack was like 14.99 I'd consider it, but not that high a price for one relic level.
OP, notice the name of the R8 bundle: it has a number II in it (I don't know why the random Roman numeral, but whatever).
On my main account, where I have the characters at R7 or higher, I only see Bundle 2 for R8 (because I don't have all of the included characters at R8). I didn't buy the first one, I've had BKM on this account for a long time.
On the alt, which doesn't have BKM, I only see Bundle 1, the one with R7 characters.
Therefore:
-> account doesn't have all bundle characters at R7: offer Bundle 1
-> account has all characters at R7, but not R8: offer Bundle 2
-> account has all bundle characters at R8: presumably doesn't show Bundle 2; maybe there's a Bundle 3 that sells the characters at R9 (tbh I would be surprised if Bundle 3 doesn't exist)
You didn't have the characters at R7, store showed you Bundle 1. You bought Bundle 1 and now check the condition for Bundle 2, so the store shows you Bundle 2.
It's not that Bundle 2 showed up later. Bundle 2 was released at the same time as Bundle 1, but your account didn't unlock it in the store until you bought Bundle 1.
You didn't get scammed. It's just CG being extremely predatory with the pricing. But again, there's no scam here. You bought one thing and the store just automatically queued up the next offer for you.
A bit disheartening to be honest. Pure money grab.

Well I bought the first one and the characters haven’t been updated. I might just buy this relic 8 one to make what looks like a migraine to get thru maybe only a headache. Getting the mods right for Beq and Paz about broke my mod slicing capabilities, and there’s still a couple of other tiers left after them. Are you saying if I bought the first one that I’ll get the extra relic level per character difference sometime?
Sleazy, shady marketing and no information to the buyer. Typical EA/CG ploys to get money. You met the requirements to buy pack 1. Once pack 1 was fulfilled it opened pack 2 for the same price to level the same four toons from R7 to R8.
It's an upgrade to the pack you bought. It doesn't show until you buy the first one. For the same price, upgrades your R7 units to R8. You didn't miss out on anything.
