Please tell me how is not NRG when with good mods and high gear you need "good NRG" to complete the event! Repeating the same strategy a couple of times till you get "good NRG" is the new thing from some members of the game community. Is like you need good NRG in adding 2+2 to get 4.
There's one bit of randomness: Does Thrawn start with Fracture (in which case the rest of the match boils down to can you survive that hit) or does he give someone turn meter (in which case you proceed as planned).

If it truly was RNG, then you should be happy--just set the thing to autobattle and check back in 5 minutes to see if you need to restart or if you're done. Eventually, because it's pure RNG, you'll get it.
But it's not. People who are having a hard time despite huge amounts of gear and mods are using the wrong team. They're folks who can't figure out that PvE events aren't Arena.
Actually you sound like you don't know what RNG is. I can play all four stages on auto play, and I can play all of them manually, they has a much RNG dependant factors as each other....
An attack being a Crit hit or not is based upon RNG and the stats of the toon making the move. Hitting auto play is asking the AI to decide which moves my toons should make for me.
If you're saying it's all RNG then you're saying that the entire event is purely random. If it's truly random then there's nothing you can do, and even bothering to try anything is pointless because it's literally just a roll of the dice. If that's the case--and it's not, but you're saying it is so let's just go with it--then autobattling the entire thing for 24 hours straight will eventually get you the right combination just as likely as doing it manually will eventually get you the right combination. So, given that, just auto the whole thing and eventually collect your prize.
But it's not totally RNG-dependent. Your choices and strategy matter.

So uninformed it's not even funny. There really isn't much of an option for "using the wrong team". It's either Sabine or Chopper, and people have completed it on both... because it is an RNG thing, more than a strategy.
You can employ strategy, but only if you get the right sort of RNG to stage the last battle. You don't start the last battle with the same character. It's based on who attacked last in the previous round. That is an RNG thing too.
My Zeb has 80% potency but is resisted a good 40-50% of the time. Without his daze, there isn't much of a chance. A few resists could easily spell doom for the last battle.
You can talk strategy all you want, but there are so many variables being left up to a "dice roll" that it can become fairly moot to argue strategy.
The difference being that people complain that their g11, arena modded Sabine team can't win. People complain that their g8, trash modded Chopper team takes upwards of 5 tries to win.
