This thread is almost as funny as the guy claiming there's a set cadence of the event returning every 90 days 3 times, then being every month and then being permanent, as if these schedules were somehow fixed.
CG bring events back when they do. We, the players, have no clue if they set the date of next event at the time of the first event, if they have a rough schedule in mind for every subsequent run, if they are started based on some pre-determined number of players being ready, if it's based on the next weeks weatherforecast for Antarctica, if they have a chicken in a back yard that need to poop in a specific spot to signal the start of event or whatever other mechanism might be controlling this.
We do know that CG in many cases have kept to roughly every 90 days, but also that some re-occurrences have varied wildly from this and some events have been on completely their own schedule. BKM being monthly or the second run of the Grand Inq event being some of the particularly memorable examples for me.
As always with these events, decide if you want to whale for first round unlock, if you want to farm hard to be certain on 2nd. run or if you want to somewhat slowplay it and maybe get 2nd round, certainly get 3rd.
Personally I just do 15 sims pr. day for new toons that and ensure they are 7* fast as possible, then go from there. Can also just do 15 daily sims for toons that are needed for events, should ensure you are (almost) always 2nd run ready.
It’s easier to blame someone else than to take ownership of poor planning 😂
You have to be joking. Whining that's a bit early? really?
I knew i wasn't getting it first pass. I knew the timeframe was 3 ISH months, not 90 days or more. I didn't even recall the original date, just 'october some time'. So, i planned on January 'sometime'. I had the stuff ready on Jan 1, not applied, but i had the rss for when they gave the heads up. Why Jan 1? Because I know these guys after all these years. I felt it wasn't going to be before 1/1, but it could be as late as mid february as well. The one thing CG is consistent at is being inconsistent. You can bank on it.
How anyone could play this game over a year an not realize that - especially reading these forums, I don't know.
Conspiracy theory?!
Best of all NOBODY is complaining about the Executor event back to back, LOL
That’s a theory, not an explanation.
Two weeks earlier is significant. CG saw the number of players that were close enough to spend big bucks to get him and pushed the event up. That’s it. That’s the simple explanation. They’re a terrible dev team that reminds me of the dev team on the Viva La Dirt League videos.
I agree. I'm 120 or so shards away from Shin and Marrok each, so obviously I'm a bit upset that I won't be able to unlock him this time. But I'm not about to gather an angry mob. They did say he would be back approximately 3 months later, emphasis on approximately. 2 weeks earlier is just as close, therefore just as approximate a point, as 2 weeks later. Let's be honest, even if Baylan did come back later instead, like mid-February, people would still complain.
Disagree. There’s no set timetable, just what players think it should be..
This is the 2nd time around, if you’re not ready, that’s on you
In this case it’s completely warranted. They brought him back too early. There’s no excuse for it.
People are always going to complain, lol
