So I missed attacking in my last round so did my opp but he got the win on gp,logged in just now to set d & low & behold I’ve got the same opponent. This has never happened before,has anyone had the same ever happen before?

If neither of you attacked, neither of you got the win. So you both still have the same record in the bracket. No surprise you face each other again.
Looks like in your bracket there are three people with 1 win and 3 with 0 wins. I wonder if the no points tie defacto put you lower in score than the person with no wins, but who maybe attacked, so they were paired against someone with 1 win. That leaves only the two of you.
That does make sense, it was just something over all these years has never happened I’m seriously out gunned so expecting a negative result in the last phase

Is it? If 2 players are 1-1 (having played both) they can't face each other, right? I'd have thought there would be coding in place to prevent this situation. Even if they're 0-2 there'd be 3 players with 0-2.
It looks to me that CG forgot to code for such an eventuality. However, as neither of you have actually 'played' vs each other this week....I guess no biggy.
