The whole point of the post was that characters can be important in the game and accurate to SW canon, regardless of their significance in the movies. Don't let the fact that speed and damage are everything in the current meta make my hypothetical "tier 1" characters seem like they would be the only desirable ones. The point is, in a more balanced meta, well-designed bottom tier characters could fill roles and provide bonuses that can drastically affect the outcome of a battle and, as I stated above, outweigh the benefit of running a whole team of tier 1's.
