Scimitar reinforcing first?

I posted the 4 reinforcements people are using to ensure Scimitar is called first (Scimitar, Tie Bomber, Tie Defender, Scythe). 

ordo801st​ fleet reinforcements have a priority tier. Weak resistance/ GR ships are almost certainly ranked above Scimitar as well, so people shouldn’t do that in GAC. 

Also another thing is if this is Fleet Arena some players may have it set to only summon the Scimitar but when they go to select the fleet, sometimes the game auto throws in other higher GP units with the fleet. Something all players should watch out for. I have done this a few times as a mis-click. But in GAC, they could be throwing their weak either Resistance or galactic Republic units they are not using.

The person has placed other, mostly junky ships in the reinforcements. These aren't the good Sith ships, all of which would be called by the AI before scimitar. Since if you only have Scimitar in your reinforcements, an r10 Revan Levi can beat an r9 Revan Levi to ult, this will also beat the r9s to ult. 

However, the Scimitar only version still loses if the r9 Revan player makes the right moves -- it's just a more tedious fight. 

So the idea of putting in junk behind Scim is that losing your cap ship bonuses makes each fight slow, and bringing in junk prolongs the fight past 5 min, earning a time out. 

It absolutely does not work if you include other Sith. They get pulled before Scim, but it doesn't matter if the reinforcements are junk if the time it takes to kill them is more than you have. 

As a GAC strategy it's understandable. You do, after all reduce the other side's banners if you set your defense this way. (It also comes at a cost, since you're taking ships away from other fleets.)

As a Fleet Arena strategy it is, IMO, bad sportsmanship. Everyone can share the top couple spots just fine. Lots of times there's only 1 person in a particular payout hour. It's not going to hurt you any if someone else takes the top spot in a different hour. Let everyone win. 

But bad sportsmanship or not, someone's gonna do it, bc bad sports exist.
