I’m not buying that Sidious uses his AoE on successive turns. He usually uses it first turn and then individual attack on second turn, but there are times he uses individual attack first.
Either way I’d be astounded if you could avoid him using his AoE at least twice. The strategy is to be as well set up as possible for when he does.
I've seen him do them back to back and it's not survivable. When that happens just reroll for better rng.
With NS he only gets to do it once.
