you're matched with similar gp...and losing has better rewards than not joining.
GP means nothing if you still can still be paired with a whale with a certain character. But then if you are a F2P, CG is making sure you cannot clear out his territory, because you are not supposed to come up with a strategy and beat a paid character. Get my point?
