Ships dependent on characters??

So will ships be better depending on the characters Level/Star/Gear? Meaning if i have a 4 star Biggs, will his ship be unlocked and 4 star? Will the ships be dependent on the character which will h...

I hope not...but it would make sense to have to keep unlocking/upgrading characters you normally wouldn't-they do this a lot. But as of now I feel there is already too much of this going on with the rancor, mod challenges, scoundrel event and other specific team only events (assaults or demise), and gw. Any thoughts and how they would even incorporate ships into the fighting style of this game? Can we decorate our ships? Lol
