Ships dependent on characters??

So will ships be better depending on the characters Level/Star/Gear? Meaning if i have a 4 star Biggs, will his ship be unlocked and 4 star? Will the ships be dependent on the character which will h...

Rey and Chewie both flew the Millennium Falcon

Rey flew it as well. Leia flew it (briefly) while Han and Chewie were frantically working on repairs in Empire Strikes Back but I don't know if that counts.
If your looking at owners, then ArglosH is correct with Han and Lando (and whoever else may have owned it before Lando) but Wedge and Biggs didn't own their X-Wings so I don't know if that is a limitation. It's all a guessing-game at this point.
