Should GAC award bonuses for attacking earlier?

TBH with this system I would still wait to attack if I know I was going to be around. Knowing your opponents moves is more valuable than a few points.

I also think this is better than masking scores because then it removes any strategy for how you want to handle GAC. This actually gives you more degrees of freedom increasing the impact of your strategy.

It’s amazing to me how many people can’t see the huge benefit of waiting to attack.

Suppose I let you pick your score for the round out of two bags. If you pick the first bag always gives you 1600 points. If you pick the second bag you have a 50/50 chance of getting 1400 points or 1800 points.

You would definitely want to wait to see your opponents score first. If they score 1700 points you aren’t taking the automatic 1600 points. If they score 1500 points you would pick the first bag every time.

Pretending there is no benefit to knowing your opponents score before you pick the bag is a joke, even if on average the bags give out the same amount of points.

Let's assume that you are correct, that waiting gives a "huge advantage," (I disagree with the premise, fwiw), you seem to be ignoring the fact that a large portion of the playerbase simply cannot attack for the first several hours of any given attack phase. Why do you want to give an advantage based on geography?

IF something has to change in GAC is: 1.Better matchmaking taking gp and gls into account and 2: better rewards when you reach higher league.

There is not a huge advantage based on geography today, you just think there is. CG doesn't need to do anything, because MM is fine now and everyone has 24 hours to attack without penalty.

There is no advantage in going first or second.

You can just as easily mess up on attacking either way, doesn’t matter what the score would be. Just focus on being the most efficient one with the roster you have without focusing so much as to the time zone or play style of your opponent.

If your opponent undermans 5 squads and you just ignore that you aren’t going to win. You need to know if you need to underman, need to full clear, can ignore top or bottom entirely. All of this information is way more valuable than a few points.

Why do you only underman when you think you need to? Just underman as much as possible to begin with… be efficient. If I know I can take a team out solo there’s no point to making it a full team. Take Wampa for example, or Malak, Kylo Ren and a number of other characters in game that easily could take down teams with no support.

If you really want to make sure you’ll win, always aim for the full clear. If you think you can’t, then do your best on whichever wall you think you stand the most chance of clearing.

HARD pass on this idea.

Also: no advantage to attacking first or last. Play to win your match every time (and not just the bare minimum) and you have no regrets.
