Should you be able to borrow required toons for legendary events?

They are recurring events for a reason. If at first you don't succeed, try again.

Nope, and I don't have RJT or Chimaera.

If I choose to prioritize farming the missing pieces I'll get them next time, if not I won't exactly how it should be.

For the record I'll get 6* Chimaera tomorrow, and RJT maybe on the 3rd time it runs. I got some serious mod farming to do after I finish off CHS, before I start vets.

This is hopelessly naive, and completely out of touch with reality. Surely you realize that one of those "same opportunities" that everyone has is to buy crystals/packs? Also I'm not sure if you know this, but CG isn't a charity, without people spending money we'd all lose.
