Showdown at starforge event info confusion

From the dev post about this event, i interpreted that we'd still be able to participate in this event even if we only have one of the revans. Imagine my surprise to see it locked and saying I need both to even participate in this event.
Guess i wont be seeing what malak looks like for 6 months until i finally catch up on the other legendaries. Which will be much more difficult now that we can only get half rewards from hard nodes now. :|

Once they confirm the details on the cadence and if its replayable if you beat it we can figure out if you can unlock with only one eventually or not....I'm guessing no, but there is hope until we get told otherwise.

Might seem like an odd complaint, but I really like the artwork in this game (even though some event images have the wrong aspect ratio, which seems like such an easy thing to fix). It's a bit sad that someone spent time and effort on this image and now I'll probably never get to see it.

It's a little unclear but none of that says anything about unlocking him. They are talking about defeating him. Its just an intro to the event.
