Private matches would be something that greatly heightens PVP play. It would change the entire SWGOH universe, totally enhance the community, grow the game, expand content creation and all kinds of good things.
But they don't want that. They want to bottle neck the game to such a degree that there are only 2 people left spending $70k a year to try and beat the other.
Meanwhile, another terrible 3v3 will occupy an entire month of our lives. That's what's important.
