Sith vs. Sith Empire

So, now that we're making a distinction between "Sith" and "Sith Empire" (which honestly, I feel like is a good change), and after reading the latest post from @CG_SBCrumb, I'm curious about what exactly the distinction is.

Going off Bastila and HK, Bastila has both tags and HK only has "Sith Empire." So I can only assume that "Sith Empire" is anyone affiliated with the Sith Empire, while "Sith" is reserved for those who are force sensitive and trained in the Dark Side--basically, those who follow the Sith way, not just fight on their behalf.

If this is indeed the case, then it makes perfect sense for Darth Revan, Fallen Bastila, Sith Marauder, and Sith Assassin to all have both tags, and it also makes sense for HK-47 to only have the Sith Empire tag.

Things get confusing to me, however, when we consider Sith Trooper. By the reasoning above, Sith Trooper should actually LOSE the "Sith" tag when he gains the "Sith Empire" tag. He belongs in the same category as HK-47. But Crumb didn't say anything about anyone (except Fallen Bastila) losing any existing tags.

What gives CG? Is Sith Trooper going to lose the "Sith" tag? And if not, why in the world not?

Well what about Asajj Ventress then? Wouldn't she gain SIth Empire? I'm also still hung up on the fact that Visas Marr should have another tag (Maybe Jedi Alliance) and have some synergy. She could be pretty useful if she did.
By the time Asajj Ventress was born the Sith Empire (note not the Sith) was long gone.

No Sith in the Republic age belong to the Sith Empire because it was replaced with the rule of two in the Sith play book because of the constant infighting among the Sith oven control of the Sith Empire basically lead to the ruin and defeat of the Sith Empire. So one to hold the power of the Sith and one to crave it. One Master and one apprentice. Both working in secret to gather power and take over the Galaxy.

And The rule of two worked as the Republic fell and the Empire (not the Sith Empire) ruled by the Sith replaced it. And it is likely the Empire would have endured had Darth Vader not returned to his Jedi roots to save Luke and betrayed the dark side of the force. Had Vader stayed Darth Vader instead of becoming Anakin Skywalker again. Had Anakin not sacrificed himself out of love, killing his former master, saving his son. But the Prophecy was fulfilled and balance was brought to the force and the Sith ended.

So no Asajj Ventress should not have the Sith Empire tag as she was a Sith pawn in the age of the rule of two. She wasn't even a full Sith, just a weapon to be used and discarded when the time was right.

Though the members of the Sith Triumvirate (Darth Traya, Darth Nihilus, and Darth Sion) should have the Sith Empire Tag as the lead what remained of the Sith Empire. SIth Trooper should by lore lose the Sith tag but sometimes game play must trump lore. Given though Sith Trooper was built to have the tag, removing it will greatly hurt the toon.

Visas Marr was not a Jedi She was fallen Sith. She helped restore the Jedi Order but was never one to my knowledge. There isn't a "Jedi Alliance" tag to be had anyway. She left and betrayed the Sith Empire and the Sith Order so they don't fit. Perhaps the Old Republic tag would be appropriate. But that would the only tag that may be applied from the lore and make any sense and even then it isn't a lock in lore.

The Sith Empire fell when Malak was killed. The remaining sith worked in secret under the Sith Triumvirate assassinating the last of the Jedi. Sion, Traya, and Nihilus were not part of the Sith Empire. In fact, During the time of the Sith Empire, Traya was a Jedi Master

About as true as Donald Trump being poor. The Sith Empire was still in effect long after Malek.

Sith Empire lived under the secret rule or Vitiate For 1500 years. Vitiate is best known in the online Kotor trailer number 4? Having 2 sons and was waiting for one to break into darkness. He’s also carried on in the following trailer stealing yet another jedi offspring. (Human form after being killed once in his orginal born form)

Further in the years Revan hunted Vitiate (300+ years on his first Death). Correctly pointed out the Sith Empire was over soon as the rule or 2 came out.

The Sith traumative is a different story. Agreed. These guys have nowt to do with the Sith Empire, they were indeed remnants of Revans Fleet. Only Revan and Malek were influenced by Vitiate.

Just going back to the time line the Sith Empire formed around 100,000BBY the Treya was around 3900 BBY. Sith Empire had around 300 years of service left before being destroyed by Revan manipulating Vitiate.
  • Functionally, there were two different Sith Empires in the Old Republic era, Vitiate's and Revan/Malak's. But Traya, Nihilus, and Sion weren't part of either.

It's OR trailer and the empire you see in the trailer with Valkorion (host) is Eternal Empire. Vitiate abandoned his sith empire on Dromund Kass.
Also I think you have mixed up few things :/

“Shedding his identity as Lord Vitiate, the self-proclaimed Sith Emperor led the scattered Sith survivors to Dromund Kaas and established a new Sith Empire. As the Empire secretly expanded over the next thousand years, the Emperor discovered the lost world of Zakuul and the Eternal Fleet—an ancient armada of unmatched technology. Dissatisfied with Sith ideology, the Emperor transferred his essence into a Zakuulan warrior named Valkorion and created a vast civilization known as the Eternal Empire”

I call the OR kotor online, and as i said, i believe it was the 4th trailer for One of their expansions.
  • Vader should be the most powerful sith/jedi ever. He brought balance to the force by killing all the jedi and younglings #thentherewere2(each)

You are right, but also wrong. As someone above stated, there were two Sith Empires. Revan's was NOT an extension of Vitiate's, which he makes very clear when he goes to kill him (and is made clear through the entirety of the events of KotOR II). Also you're incorrect with the Triumvirate, only Nihilus was a remnant of Revan's fleet. Sion had been in war since the Great Sith War w/ Exar Kun, and Traya had trained Revan, but never went to battle with him, nor followed him through conflict. She simply took over when he left.

You're also right, but partially wrong. She was a Jedi Master at the very beginning of the Sith Empire's rule, but she followed Revan's path to Malachor and the Trayus academy (before the end of the Jedi Civil War, which was during the time of Sith Empire) and became Darth Traya. After the Jedi Civil War, she was betrayed, stripped of her rank as Dark Lord of the Sith, and adopted the pseudonym Kreia. (I still ascribe to the theory that she is Arren Kae, the Handmaiden's mother).

Visas did become one of the Lost Jedi (The Exile's Jedi) and helped restore the order. Traya straight up says it at the end of KotOR II. She should probably get the Old Republic tag (although she simply followed the Exile, who fought for the Republic, Visas herself didn't care all that much for the Republic), and definitely the Jedi tag. Or maybe a new, KotOR II exclusive Lost Jedi tag. That'd also be cool, and acceptable, and lore friendly.
  • Really, it took the most powerful force user ever to kill a room full of younglings? (And most of the Jedi were killed by overwhelming numbers of clone troopers, mostly shooting at their backs.)
  • I never said Revan was part of the Sith Empire. At this point Vitiate was hiding and “influencing” and thus the Revan story begins. I’m meerly pointing out that indeed there was another Empire but the Sith Empire lived on way after Malak and still ran by vitiate along side the Eternal Empire.

But thanks for correcting me on the Sith triumvriate. I havant done to greata home work there and i still havant gotten around to finishing kotor 2. Got stuck fighting the jedi masters. (Not leveling my character properly i imagine and gave up)
