Magmatrooper sucks vs counter and evasion teams. His secondary attack becomes a liability. He has no debuffs which means he doesn't gain any TM from Palp's leadership.
Yet he has very high tenacity and every resist leads to nearly a new turn. He removes a lot of turn meter, and both his attacks remove foresight no matter who is targeted.
Foresight characters aren't meta right now.
