Take a look at your raid drops. I have saved a screenshot of mine every single time since september. Even distribution? - not even close. I can count the number of times i've gotten some items on one hand, others- drop every single time. Guess what, my most common items are not the same as your most common items.
Is this conclusive evidence? Absolutely not. Is this an indication of some other mechanic then random selection? - Most probably.

Here's the interesting thing about probabilities - it's precisely because it's random selection, that's why the raid item drops are so uneven.
